After a three hour meeting at Wallasey Town Hall last night no decision was made about who would run the Council. Despite the overwhelming evidence at the ballot box earlier this month, Labour and Liberal Democrats will not support the Conservatives (the largest group) in running the Council - it seems to me that they’re in denial.
We’ll be returning to the Town Hall tonight to thrash out more proposals tonight. I’ll keep you updated.
Conservatives have 24 seats, Labour 21, Liberal Democrats are trailing with 20 and there is one independent.
