Supporting our Troops
June 29, 2008Whatever your opinion of the various battles our troops are engaged in across the world, I’m sure that admiration for their courage and professionalism unites us all.
Over the past few weeks, along with my collegues from Manor Bakeries, I have been collecting various toiletries, magazines and books to send to our troops in Afghanistan. I hope this very small gesture goes some way to reminding those in our armed forces that we are thinking of them, and are grateful for their sacrifices.
Thankfully Royal Mail have agreed to waive the postage fee for packages being sent to soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, so if you know of anyone in the armed forces at the moment, why not arrange something similar for them and their colleagues?
