Cemetery Chapel

I’m very pleased that Wirral Council have finally confirmed that they are to lease the Chapel in Rake Lane Cemetery to the Russian Orthodox parish of St Elisabeth the New Martyr.

Fr Paul and his congregation will be a welcome addition to our community and I’m sure the Chapel will be improved and receive some much wanted attention under their stewardship. In fact work has already started and you can see the progress here. The Chapel’s ‘grand opening’ will take place on Saturday 18th July, beginning at 10:00am, and I look forward to joining the congregation in their celebrations. To View the parish’s website click here.
