Conservatives Win In Wirral

June 8, 2009

Many thanks to those who voted Conservative in Thursday’s European Parliamentary elections. We saw Robert Atkins, Sajj Karim and Jacqueline Foster (a Wirral resident) elected as Conservative MEPs for the North West of England.  Labour have just 2 MEPs representing this region UKIP have 1, Lib Dems have 1 and unfortunately the ‘Nazi thug in a suit’ Nick Griffin of the BNP was also elected.

In Wirral Conservatives topped the poll, achieving the third highest conservative vote of all of the districts that make up the North West region. For full results click here.

Use Your Postal Vote

May 23, 2009

Many people who are registered for Postal Votes will have already received their ballot papers in the post for the forthcoming European Elections. These elections are important if we are going to send Gordon Brown a message that enough is enough and its time for change, its of course also crucial that we have a strong team of Conservative MEPs fighting for Britain’s interests in Europe.

The instructions given with postal votes can be a bit over complicated, so helpfully Leah has provided some hints here. Or if in doubt contact the Electoral Services Department at Wallasey Town Hall on 691 8507.

Today we were out delivering our ‘In touch’ leaflets in the run up to the European Parliamentary elections on June 4th.  Thankfully the weather was good and we got a lot done. Pictured are Councillors Chris Blakeley, Paul Hayes, Ian Lewis, myself and Jeff Green.

Action Team in Fylde

April 25, 2009

Today the Action Team took a rare trip out of Wallasey to lend a hand in the Lancashire County Council Elections.

In the morning we delivered “people talk” for our good friend Simon Renwick and in the afternoon we canvassed.

Despite having a big team out in Fylde we still managed a team of 5 delivering in Seacombe.

Welcome to Sajj

December 17, 2007

Along with Karen and around 40 others, we met the former Liberal Democrat Euro MP Sajjad Karim yesterday.  Sajj came to our pre-Christmas event for members in Liscard, Egremont and the wider constituency and explained why he had taken the decision to join us.

Here in Liscard, as we saw in may 2007, the Liberal Democrats can’t win and that’s why many of their supporters switched to us.  Just like Sajj.
