I find it quite depressing that an organisation built on faith, has by their actions effectively said there is no future for the people of New Brighton, and given up without a fight.

I’m sure with a bit of effort they could have found additional community uses for the building that would have made it sustainable.

Hi Leah, just wanted to ask which junction it is, or if you have further information?

I applaud the non-scaremongering stance you have generally taken on masts; you have stuck up for residents, without going down the daily mail style route of one-sided scaremongering against them. Obviously the evidence isn't conclusive on their alleged effects, but I personally don't think they pose a risk and think in time this will be shown. However I realise that many residents are concerned about the lack of conclusive proof and that you must separate this from the fact that many residents do not like them, given their visually obstrusive appearance - plus they lower house values, at a time when they can least afford it!

People cycle on the pavements in the precinct every day. You're being naive thinking one day is going to make a difference. It won't!

Hello Leah,

It is great to finally see some action to clean up Liscard. I have returned to the Cherry Tree Centre as the new centre manager after living in Kent for Two years. The first thing I noticed was the level of graffiti and poor upkeep of the town centre.
If there is anything we can do at the centre to help in your campaign to clean up and promote Liscard please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

John White,
Centre Manager
Cherry Tree Shopping Centre.

Congratulations James, on becoming one of the youngest councillors I can remember! I notice some people made sneering comments regarding your age on the Globe website, but it's nice to see that other posters took the view that age is no bar to maturity and sensible policies!

I hope you along with your fellow "newbies" will start holding this council to account for its current and past mistakes, and I suspect you will be forming the next administration with a bit of luck. Tell Jeff not to back down, and to just let Foulkes dig himself into a hole, which he will inevitably do a'la 2003.

If you've met some of the "top officers" (in name only!), then you will know that a lot of work needs to be done at Wirral council, because many of its problems have come from the ineptitude of certain council officers as well as the ruling executive. I do fear that one or two of these officers will be (to quote your leader) "roadblocks to reform" and we know what happens to roadblocks - they get removed!

This is absolute rubbish excuse the Pun...ive seen bins overflowing or burnt out or litter on the floor next to an empty bin.

You will find re-education will go alot further than putting bins everywhere, making people take things home and put them in recycling bins already provided....

who sorts these public bins? We are spending a fortune already trying to re-educate people towards new recycling methods....so we just ruin that hard work by sayin "put anything in here we will sort it"
and because it requires sorting that probably wont get done...just dumped in a landfill...

Throwing money at the problem wont solve anything
